Airtime in the browser

About Airtime

Play Airtime free in your browser. No download, no install: it opens on playairtime.com in a new tab.

Chain wall jumps, icy slides and precise landings in Airtime, an independent browser rewrite of Urban Terror's jump movement. It focuses on movement maps and practice rather than the original game's combat campaign.

The project describes its Rust and WebAssembly implementation as an independent rewrite of Urban Terror 4.3 jump physics. Its map browser has Featured and Browse Maps tabs that download maps from a hosted mirror; importing a local .pk3 is optional, not the only way to start. Some maps refer to original base textures the engine does not include and show placeholders instead.

The site labels multiplayer experimental. Hosted maps can be played without importing your own files; actual online-session performance is not claimed here.

How to play Airtime

  1. Press Play and open Maps, then Featured or Browse Maps.
  2. Select a hosted map from the list and press Play; a local .pk3 file is not required for that route.
  3. Open Controls to check movement and practice bindings. Use the training settings to learn a difficult jump.

Tips

  • Practise one jump at a time and watch the movement feedback rather than changing every physics setting at once.
  • Modified practice physics are marked as Airtime settings and should not be confused with standard Urban Terror run times.
