About Meat Boy

Play Meat Boy free in your browser. No download, no install: it opens on justplayweb.com in a new tab.

Before Super Meat Boy there was Meat Boy, a free Flash game from 2008 by Jonathan McEntee and Edmund McMillen. A cube of meat runs, wall-jumps and dies a lot on the way to rescue Bandage Girl.

JustPlayWeb runs the original Flash file through Ruffle, so it works in a current browser with no plugin. The levels are short and hard, and a restart is instant.

How to play Meat Boy

  1. Press Play. JustPlayWeb opens the game in a new tab.
  2. Click inside the game so it gets keyboard input, then follow the title screen.
  3. Each level is one screen: reach Bandage Girl without touching saws or spikes.

Controls

Arrow keysRun and jumpClickFocus the game first

Arrow keys from the original Flash release; the game shows its own key prompts. Click the game area before playing.

Tips

  • Jump into a wall and press away from it to wall-jump up narrow shafts.
  • Short taps give small hops; most saw gaps want a short jump, not a full one.
