Spore Origins was the 2008 mobile spin-off of Spore that focused on the cell stage: swim, eat smaller cells, avoid bigger ones and add parts to your creature as it grows.

nomadic_ua rebuilt it as a fan remake in the Defold engine and released it free on itch.io, where it runs in the page. The menu has Play, My Creatures, Options, Achievements and Help.

How to play Spore Origins (fan remake)

  1. Press Play. The itch.io page opens in a new tab.
  2. Click the game frame, then Play in its menu.
  3. Use Fullscreen under the frame for a bigger view.
