This is a fan remake of Super Mario Kart, not the original SNES cartridge. It recreates the 1992 racer's flat, Mode 7 style tracks, item boxes and cup structure in a new fan-made game.

burnedpopcorn ported the remake to the web, and the page recommends a gamepad. A keyboard works too.

How to play Super Mario Kart (fan remake)

  1. Press Play. The web port opens in a new tab.
  2. Press Enter to get past the title and choose a mode.
  3. Hold X to accelerate and use Z for items.
